About Brad

imageBrad Johnston lived on the Bruce Peninsula for over 20 years. He was very involved in the community and loved the closeness to nature up there. He has recently made Port Elgin his home and is very happy here and looking forward to being part of this community.

Brad began his interest in Myomassology due to his wife’s ongoing health problems. She was struggling with pain throughout her body from osteoarthritis and he decided that he would look outside of our traditional medical system for other solutions. He discovered that he loved helping people and what began as helping his wife soon turned into helping his community.

Brad, through Myomassology, found a way to treat each person and their situation as unique. Excited about how he could help more people he went on to study at the Canadian Myomassology Institute, Aromatica Centre for Natural Therapies & Holistic Study at Cape Chin on the Bruce Peninsula. He graduated in June 2009 and is a Registered Massage Practitioner. He is a certified member of the Canadian Examining Board of Health Care Practitioners as well as the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association.

Committed to holistic therapy, Brad goes out of his way to ensure clients have the best possible treatment. Whether it is one treatment or a combination of several techniques, Brad will tailor your experience to your specific needs. This recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and is the “hallmark” of a Myomassologists’ training. Brad no longer does Fire Cupping, he now does MediCupping™. MediCupping™ uses a machine to create the suction and pumping movements that are normally done with glass fire cups to create a soothing, consistent and effective treatment without strain on the therapist or client.  MediCupping™ is the cornerstone of Brad’s treatments.
